Ligue 1 champions Paris-Saint-Germain are set to complete the signing of the Spanish winger Marco Asensio. Asensio and Real Madrid are set to part ways after 8 years as the player has rejected an offer for a contract extension with the Spanish giants.
According to the reports from the journalist Fabrizio Romano, PSG would complete the signing of Marco Asensio on a free transfer. Romano had also claimed that a verbal agreement was in place between the club and the player.
The contract is said to be will be valid until June 2027. The Football Advisor of PSG Luis Campos is said to be on this transfer and is looking to get it done as soon as possible. Although the expectation is to get the contract signed next week after Asensio’s farewell to Real Madrid fans.
Asensio had also got offers from England to play in the Premier League. Aston Villa were also in the race to sign the Spanish attacker as the player was largely appreciated by their manager Unai Emery. But it seems PSG have beaten them for the signature of the 27-year-old.
