“Raul is culer”- Barcelona opens a new store right just a few miles away from Real Madrid’s home stadium Santiago Bernabeu

Barcelona's new store in the city of Madrid.
FC Barcelona has been finding new ways to generate revenue for the last couple of months and has already sold half of their rights to Spotify. There have been a lot of talks about the debts Barcelona has been facing for the last couple of years and despite that, they have been bringing in new players into the club and President Joan Laporta has been under a lot of pressure to manage the club’s budget now.
Joan Laporta has now taken a new initiative by building a new store to lure some profits out of their merchandise sales and there is nothing wrong with it as all the top clubs around the world also follow this process. But what seems amusing is that they have decided to build this new store in the city of Madrid just a few miles away from the Real Madrid Stadium.
With a lot of long-serving players leaving the club and the club setting their eyes on a fresh and build-from-scratch strategy, Laporta is trying different ways in order to draw the respect and the support of the culer fans in these difficult times. Laporta has already confirmed that they will be back to being the most successful club in Spain as they used to be and have been delivering since coming back to the club.

What message did FC Barcelona try to convey through their impressive new banner?

Not only did the club decide to inaugurate their new store with great joy and show but also they took it one step ahead by releasing a banner with the most respected Real Madrid’s player name written on it. The message was, “Raul is culer” and this new marketing strategy has got the whole city talking about this.
Previously Laporta decided to place a banner with his face right on the same street as that of the Santiago Bernabeu with the message, “Looking forward to seeing you again.” And this time again he has decided to draw a lot of attention and controversy through this stroke of marketing geniuses.
