Dietmar Hamann has suggested Thomas Tuchel will follow Oliver Kahn and Hasan Salihamidzic out of Bayern Munich. The 11th consecutive Bundesliga title triumph of the club on Saturday was overshadowed by the sackings of chief executive Kahn and sporting director Salihamidzic just a few hours later.

Former Bayern and Liverpool midfielder Hamann claims that Tuchel, who was only appointed in late March, could be next to walk away as soon as today. In a recent interview Hamann said, “When you treat people like this, you have to ask yourself, Do you want to work for this club? I don’t think you can rule out Tuchel leaving soon too. But he’ll leave of his own accord”.

Hamann’s fellow pundit, Erik Meijer also gave his opinion on this discussion. He said, “I think he’ll have left the club by Monday”. Thomas Tuchel’s boys beat Borussia Dortmund in the race for the Bundesliga crown after beating FC Koln 2-1 in the final matchday of the season.

Dutch defender to leave Bayern Munich this summer after an unimpressive season

Dutch defender Daley Blind is set to part ways with Bayern Munich at the end of the season. The Bavarians have no plans to extend his contract, and he will be surplus to requirements in the summer.

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Blind has not got a chance to impress since Thomas Tuchel took charge. Now, the player is looking at offers elsewhere. His chapter at the Allianz Arena might be over in the summer. The former Manchester United man will be a free agent this summer.

Blind arrived at Bayern Munich in January 2023. He was reportedly signed to provide cover at the center-back and left-back positions. This was because Lucas Hernandez suffered a severe injury playing for France in the World Cup 2022. Ajax had terminated Blind’s contract. So he was available as a free agent during the window.

Blind was mostly seen on the bench of the Allianz Arena. The Dutch International has featured in only five games for Bayern Munich across all competitions. Instead, Tuchel has trusted young defenders like Matthijs de Ligt and Dayot Upamecano in central defense. The German manager signed Joao Cancelo to occupy the right-back position. And Alphonso Davies is the first-choice left-back. As Noussair Mazraoui can also do a job as a full-back. For all these reasons, there seems to be no point in handing a new deal to Blind this summer.
