“We know they will not let you down GOAT”-fans react to Portugal’s incredible 6-1 victory against Switzerland at the 2022 FIFA World Cup

In another round of 16 encounter, Portugal completely smashed Switzerland apart and sent them out of the world cup. Coach Fernando Santos took some brave calls ahead of the match dropping captain Cristiano Ronaldo and Joao Cancelo and his choice did pay off as the team scored a staggering 6 goals past the Swiss defense.

Goncalo Ramos who had big shoes to fill as he was trusted by the coach ahead of the legend Ronaldo showed great character on the field as he bagged the first hattrick of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. All the gals scored by him were a result of some fascinating finishes to which the experienced Yann Sommer had no reply.

Portugal’s defense was pretty intact as well and Swiss attackers couldn’t find enough spaces in between them scoring just one goal that too from a set-piece. Rafael Leao, Raphael Guerreiro, and Pepe were amongst the other scores for Portugal and this victory will give them a lot of confidence going into the quarter-final match against African heavyweights Morocco.
