Group B has not been a disappointment for the fans but rather an aggressive one for the fans worldwide. And everyone would want the group to end on a high and things are expected to go from great to rough on Tuesday when second-placed Iran takes on third-placed USA with both teams very much in contention for the round of 16 stage.
There has been a lot of buzz leading up to the encounter and things have taken a different toll outside the field after USMNT’s social media team posted an image of the FIFA World Cup group table on Twitter after their second match against England. The image went viral as the image didn’t have the correct Iran flag on it which has raised a lot of havoc and chaos around the world.
The match still stands for now despite the complaints from the Iran football federation regarding the image and the match will be operated by a huge set of experienced referees. The main referee will be the Spanish international Antonio Mateu along with his countrymen Pau Cebrian and Roberto Dias. The fourth official will be Peru’s, Kevin Ortega.

Will the pre-match chaos and fuss act as a disadvantage for the players?

Iran has accused the USA of breaching FIFA rules and they want the USA to get kicked out of the FIFA World Cup. One of the countryโs state-affiliated media Tasnim News Agency has said that by removing the emblem from their flag USA has broken FIFA regulations and they donโt deserve to carry forward their journey anymore in the tournament.
With Iran in second with three points and the USA placed in the third spot with 2 draws to their name, this game will no doubt be fun to watch for the neutrals but a nail-biting one for both sides. Iran will have a lot of confidence on their shoulders after their late win against Wales which gave their round-of-16 chances a major boost despite being thrashed by England in the first match.
