After Lewis Hamilton held Max Verstappen behind him in the third and last practice session of the Styrian Grand Prix, the latter surely did not take it well, which was evident on the team radio as well. The seven-time World Champion was ahead of the Dutchman with a few minutes to go, yet he made his dismay clear.
The Austrian Team’s ace driver, Max Verstappen has been deemed as the clear favorite entering the Styrian Grand Prix. But with Lewis Hamilton on the same card, how can anyone let another driver be termed as favorite? However, with the Qualifying session all set to start in an hour’s time, Red Bull assured Verstappen to not worry about such games by Mercedes.
What did Max Verstappen Say Upon the Team radio About Lewis Hamilton?
“Of course he’s in my f*cking way all the time,” Max Verstappen stated over the team radio.
“It’s all fine mate, don’t worry,” his team reassured him. “It’s fine, we’ll play those games.”
The Styrian Grand Prix could either be the end, or the beginning of Red Bull’s domination in the 2021 Formula 1 calendar. After being out-raced for three consecutive races, Mercedes will surely have to nail every one of their tactics and strategies in order to get the better of Red Bull.
With Hamilton all pumped up, as clearly as he seemed in the third practice session, let us see how the British reigning champion answers his critic sin the Qualifying session of the Styrian Grand Prix.
