George Kittle is already looking forward to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s upcoming wedding, and he knows exactly where he plans to be during the celebration.

The San Francisco 49ers star shared his excitement while speaking to PEOPLE at the Tight Ends & Friends Concert Presented by Reese’s in Nashville on June 23, revealing that he expects to be one of the most active guests at the event.

“I will be on the dance floor,” Kittle said when asked about attending the wedding of Swift and Kelce. Kittle’s comments came as he discussed his recovery from the torn Achilles tendon he suffered during the 49ers’ Wild Card playoff victory over the Philadelphia Eagles in January.

While the injury sidelined him for much of the offseason, the 32-year-old said his rehabilitation continues to move in a positive direction. “We’re checking off all the boxes, and we’re trudging in the right direction,” Kittle said.

The wedding remarks capped a busy week at Tight End University, the annual summit co-founded by Kittle, Kelce, and former NFL tight end Greg Olsen. The event brings together players from across the league for training sessions, networking opportunities, and fan-focused activities.

Swift was among the notable attendees, supporting Kelce throughout the week and participating in several TEU events. She also delivered one of the gathering’s biggest moments when she made a surprise appearance at the Tight Ends & Friends Concert on June 23, joining country music star Lainey Wilson onstage for a performance of her hit song “Love Story.”

The concert also featured performances from Dan + Shay, Wilson, and Chase Rice before Swift brought the evening to a memorable close with her unexpected appearance.

Kittle said Swift’s willingness to participate meant a great deal to everyone involved with Tight End University, especially given how close the event was held to her wedding date. He said, “She’s just such an awesome person to give us her time this close to their wedding. So we’re just so thankful that they’re here. Honestly, she’s such a great time. That’s what’s just so much fun.”

He revealed, “She’s just hanging out, talking to my mom. Thanks mom. Shout out to Taylor for talking to my mom again. But she’s just so kind, and it’s awesome to have her around.”

Kittle also shared another detail about Swift and Travis Kelce’s upcoming wedding during an interview with ExtraTV. According to the tight end, the couple has asked guests not to bring presents. “They said absolutely no gifts. But I was thinking, Travis, for some reason, really likes old coins, so I might get him an old coin,” Kittle said before joking, “Sounds expensive, too.”

Swift’s appearance marked another show of support for Tight End University, the event founded by Kelce, Kittle and Olsen. Her participation added a high-profile moment to the annual gathering as excitement continues to build around her upcoming wedding to the Kansas City Chiefs star.
