Gisele Bundchen reveals a significant disagreement she had with Tom Brady during the birth of their firstborn, Benjamin
Tom Brady with his wife and kids
Tom Brady seems to have plenty of fond recollections of Gisele Bündchen’s home deliveries, despite his initial scepticism. The model was interviewed as part of ESPN+’s Man inside the Realm: Tom Brady program, and then she said that Brady informed her “absolutely not” when she indicated she wanted to give birth to their first kid, Benjamin, at home. “Who has a baby at home in 2000?” the football star inquired after she clarified that it’s her body, her decision. “I do,” stated the 41-year-old.
There are numerous reasons why women prefer to deliver babies rather than in a hospital, and mom knew that was what they intended the first time she did it, regardless of Brady’s view. “It was a home birth,” she added. “It was funny since he didn’t wish me to get a home birth. He said, ‘Absolutely not,’ and I said, ‘Excuse me, you don’t get to pick that; it’s my body.”
We welcomed this child into the universe in its most beautiful way: Tom Brady
With the arrival of modern medicine in the twentieth century, home births fell drastically. Yet, women have been birthing in their residences or caverns since the dawn of time. Tom Brady described the event as “precious” in conclusion. “Being there during G’s birth in our house is etched in my consciousness. In the video, he says, “I think we welcomed this child into the universe in its most beautiful way.”
Bündchen went into labour with both of the kids at home by water birth. She said in her book, “My Path to a Greater Purpose,” how she has been suspicious of hospitals since her half-sister, Pati, had double influenza when they were both ten years old. She even defied physicians’ advice by childbirth to Benjamin at residence. “The dr advised me that having a home birth was too hazardous for me,” she recounted. “He said Benny was like an odd position, that my pelvis was just too thin, and that the odds were stacked against me.”
Bündchen reveals about the first game she had attended in 2007
Bündchen revealed in another section that the first game she had attended in 2007 was “the most boring thing” she ever saw in her lifetime. Gisele stated, “I thought this was the most depressing thing I’d ever had in my entire life.” “I was like, ‘What are they doing?’” says the narrator. Why do they always come to a halt? ‘What is the objective?’ The soccer enthusiast wondered aloud.
The model didn’t make sure how she would be pulling it off, so she pretended to be amazed. “At the end of the day, I was like, God, I don’t know what to say to this man. How was the game? he’ll inquire. Oh, that was fantastic!’ I said. I didn’t get anything,” Bündchen said.
After 14 years, the 41-year-old is still his strongest supporter. The happy pair has three children together: Vivian, Ben, and 13-year-old John Edwards (Jack) through his previous relationship with Bridget Moynahan.
