Goan winger Vincy Barretto joins Kerala Blasters FC

Indian Super League outfit Kerala Blasters FC have roped in Indian winger Vincy Barretto on a three-year deal, which will keep him at the club until the 2023/24 edition of the ISL.

The 21-year-old winger started his senior career with the FC Goa Reserve team in 2017, where he played 17 matches before leaving the club in 2020. He joined I-League club Gokulam Kerala FC ahead of the 2020/21 edition of the I-League and played 13 matches for the side last season. He played a key role in guiding the team to lift the trophy.

Vincy Barretto assisted once last season for the Malabarians. His only assist came against TRAU FC when he passed the ball to Emil Benny at the 16th minute, who found the net and gave Gokulam Kerala a 1-0 lead in the game. Finally, Gokulam Kerala FC won the game 3-1.

Barretto will don the yellow jersey in the upcoming edition of the Indian Super League. He was elated to join the Tuskers and was happy to represent a Kerala-based club once again.
