Greg Norman has once again shaken the golf world with another open tease to the PGA Tour. This time it wasn’t the Tour itself, but the players, especially Rory McIlory. Norman openly teased the most vocal PGA supporter by stating that “Our door is open for everybody”.

For someone like Rory, this seems more like a challenge, as it’s only been a few weeks since the World No. 1 and Tiger Woods voiced Norman’s resignation. This news spread like wildfire as the duo openly stated they wanted Norman to leave LIV if he wants to have any ‘talks’ about negotiations to take place.

Of course, that wouldn’t have shaken the 67-year-old LIV Golf CEO. Guess this open invitation to Rory was a form of his payback to the duo. He slammed both Rory and Woods back when their comments raged through the internet.  Norman stated that they are working together for “their own agendas”.

This week, he took a jab at PGA Tour by inviting Rory McIlory and also hinting that he had a talk with Justin Thomas. In an interview with Bunkered magazine, Norman stated, “Our door is open for everybody”.

“We’re not the PGA Tour. We’re not like that. We exist for the players, so we will always have an open door, whether that’s for Rory or Jordan Spieth or Justin Thomas or whoever.”

“I mean, we talked to JT”. “Me and another member of my team, we sat down with him and gave him the full presentation and, if you notice, he’s not said much negative about what we’re doing, presumably because he knows it and understands it.”

Greg Norman didn’t disclose the details of his meeting with Thomas and even avoided any remarks on what Thomas’ answer was. He just stated that Thomas, unlike others didn’t criticize the LIV extremely, so he may have seen the potential he holds.

As to what exactly went on during their meeting is yet to be disclosed. For all we know, Tiger Woods, Rory McIlory, and Justin Thomas are good friends, and they have always been in favor of the PGA Tour. Though we have to say, that Norman’s meeting with Thomas has intrigued a lot of people.

Thomas once stated, “I know the PGA Tour is the best place to play in the world. I wish that it wouldn’t be taking away from the great storylines and things that are going on on a tour that’s been around for a very long time and is in one of the best places it’s ever been. It’s just a bummer that those guys won’t be a part of it.”
