“I have no ill feelings for PGA Tour”: Pat Perez becomes second golfer to drop out of LIV Golf antitrust lawsuit against PGA Tour

Pat Perez
Pat Perez, three time PGA Tour winner who recently signed with the LIV Series, has dropped out of the controversial antitrust that the LIV Golf Series has filed. Recently, 11 golfers of the LIV Series led by Phil Mickelson and Bryson DeChambeau filed an antitrust lawsuit against the PGA Tour following sanctions and bans on the 11 defectors.
The date for the trial has been set for 8th January 2024, as the LIV Series and PGA go head to head. However, in the lawsuit, only the name of 9 golfers could be seen. While it was established news that Carlos Ortiz had dropped out of the lawsuit, the name of the other golfer was unknown. However, recently it has surfaced that Pat Perez has also dropped out of the lawsuit.
Perez signed a four-year deal with the LIV Series prior to the second event in Portland, said that he originally joint out of loyalty to the other players, who are fighting the suspension against the PGA Tour.

“I have no ill feelings toward the PGA Tour or any of the players,’’ Perez said according to Sports Illustrated. “I’m a LIV guy 100 percent. I’m going to play for them. But I don’t feel any need to go after the PGA Tour. They gave me a wonderful opportunity for 21 years. I’ve got nothing against them, no hard feelings toward anybody. I earned everything I got out there, don’t get me wrong.”
“I chose to leave and I’m not looking to come back. I’d like to maybe play the Champions Tour one day if that can work out and that’s why I have not given up my membership. But there is no benefit to doing this. I have an unbelievable deal with LIV and I’m behind them 100 percent,’’ said Perez, who did not ‘think much’ before joining LIV Golf.
