Needless to say, and it is quite obvious, that Woods has earned a whole lot of money through his PGA wins. From 1996 to 2007, Golf Digest reports he made a total of $770 million. With 84 PGA and 41 European tour wins, Woods has managed to amass a total of almost $110 million through these elusive tournaments.

Woods’ huge sponsorship deal with Nike

Other than that, Woods’ PGA pension tour plan is a whopping $20 million. Before Woods even took a shot as a pro, he had already signed a $40 million deal with Nike on a 5 year contract. This later turned into a $100 million 5-year deal, once his career took off well. Woods signed with Nike once again as a sponsor in 2013. This meant that Woods made just over $250 to $300 million from Nike as his primary sponsor.

Apart from Nike, Woods also took sponsorship from Gatorade, American Express, Asahi, General Mills (Wheaties), Golf Digest, Rolex, Gillette, Accenture, Tag Heuer, AT&T, EA Sports, NetJets, Upper Deck and many more. Gatorade alone paid him $100 million over 5 years time, while American Airlines paid him $30 million. To put it into context, in 2012, Woods earned a total of $86 million- of which $77 million was off the golf course.
