Gymnastics star Simone Biles pulled off one of the most dangerous vaults as she nailed the Yurchenko double pike vault that has never been attempted before by a woman. The 24-year-old has been one of the best in the world ever since her breakout performance at the 2016 Rio Olympics. She reportedly had been practicing the move for several months in order to master it.

The move involves a roundoff-back-handspring-entry into the table which is then followed by two backward complete rotations with legs extended and then sticking the landing. Biles achieved the feat at the US Classic on Friday and weirdly she did not seem to be happy with her own effort. She was seen telling that she was nervous about the landing. The move has however, gone viral now on social media with plenty of sportspersons and fans applauding it.

One of Biles’ coaches, Laurent Landi spoke about her feat and said according to Insider, “It’s very, very challenging. And what’s scary, it’s that people can get hurt. You do a short landing, you can hurt your ankles … it’s a very dangerous vault.” Biles’ other coach Cecile Landi said, “I think she’s opened the eyes to everybody that this can be done. When I think, a lot of people believed that a female could not do it.”
