Minecraft had added Bees, Honey and Honeycombs to the game a while back and they have some great uses in the game. This will note down all the points to collect honey in Minecraft safely.

Bees are one of the smaller mobs in the Minecraft, and just like in real life, they are very useful for the players as well as the flora around their next. They are passive towards the players unless attacked, and have a hive mind, where swarms can attack you at once. This can also be triggered when players want to collect honey from their nests without any precautions.

Honey is an item that can be used as a food source, and is the only food source that comes packed in a bottle. Naturally, players can collect Honey using Glass Bottles, that can be made by the players themselves.

It will restore 3 health points and also remove the poison effect if the players are inflicted with it. Honey in Minecraft is also used to make Honey blocks which work together with Sticky Pistons and allows the players to make complex mechanisms. And lastly, players can craft Sugar from Honey.

If the players want to collect Honey in Minecraft, they need to go through some process in order to be safe. This is because, Bees do not appreciate you stealing their hard-worked honey.

When the player tries to take out honey from the Beehive with a Glass Bottle, the Bees inside will come out and attack the player with their stingers. These stingers will inflict the Poison status effect on the player and lead the Bee to die after a while.

To prevent this, players need to craft a Campfire first. Putting a Campfire under a Honeycomb, will calm the bees down with the Smoke, and then the players can simply click on the Honeycomb with the empty Glass Bottle to get Honey!

But, players also have to look out for the capacity of the honey inside the Beehive before attempting to collect. The honey flowing from the Beehive on the sides will indicate that the Hive is full of honey.
