Shikhar created history in IPL 2020 by becoming the first player to score back to back centuries. However, Dhawan was the lone batsman in the DC batting lineup as no other batter could add a partnership to Dhawan’s incredible knock of 106 runs. Prithvi Shaw could not perform once again in opening for DC and got out in the third over.

Skipper Shreyas Iyer made 14 runs alongside Dhawan while Rishabh Pant back in the DC squad after injury also could make just 14 runs. No other batsman could score more runs with Dhawan singlehandedly lead DC to 164/5 in 20 overs.

Dhawan made 106 runs in DC 164 runs a remarkable contrast as the rest of the batsmen could only add 58 runs. Mohammad Shami was top of his game after picking 2/28 in four overs. Maxwell, M Ashwin, and Neesham picked one wicket each.

With this win, KXIP are just one place below the playoff position at number five. KXIP have played 10 games in the tournament, winning 4 and losing 6. However, they have defeated the top two teams of IPL in back to back games. DC with their third loss of the tournament are still the table toppers with 14 points.
