Kim Kardashian is facing criticism from F1 fans after a brief interaction with veteran broadcaster Martin Brundle during the 2026 Monaco Grand Prix weekend.

The reality star and entrepreneur attended the race in Monte Carlo on June 7, alongside her sister Khloé Kardashian. During Sky Sports’ traditional pre-race grid walk, Brundle approached the celebrity in an attempt to conduct a quick interview before the start of the event.

Video of the encounter circulated widely on social media after Kardashian appeared not to respond to Brundle’s questions. As Brundle attempted to engage her in conversation, she waved and continued walking with her entourage, then left the area.

The moment quickly sparked discussion among F1 fans, many of whom shared their reactions in the comments section of an Instagram post featuring the exchange. Several commenters felt Kardarshian could have handled the situation differently.

“She didn’t have to be rude to him. Anyone that watches F1 knows him.”

Another person wrote, “She was really rude, just a simple ‘ no thank you’ was enough!”

A third commenter added, “Just showing true colors 😂”

Others pointed to Brundle’s long-standing presence within the sport and his popularity among Formula One viewers. “Absolutely. Nobody ignores Martin x,” one user commented.

Another wrote, “Reporter? You mean 9 time F1 podium finisher and World Sportscar Champion Martin Brundle?”

One fan also referenced her recent relationship with Ferrari driver Lewis Hamilton, writing, “She is dating a FI racer, she should know who Martin Brundle is! And to really add fuel to the fire….Lewis would never treat anyone the way she treated Martin.”

Brundle’s grid walk interviews have become a well-known part of F1 broadcasts over the years, regularly featuring athletes, actors, musicians, and public figures attending race weekends. The Monaco Grand Prix once again attracted numerous celebrities, including Kim and Khloé Kardashian, who were in attendance throughout the weekend.

During the celebration, Hamilton appeared to blow a kiss toward her before smiling and continuing the post-race festivities. As already stated, the American arrived in Monaco on June 6 alongside Khloé Kardashian and family friend Simon Huck. The sisters were seen supporting Hamilton throughout the race weekend.

The couple first sparked romance rumors in February 2026 following reports of a meeting in Paris. Since then, they have made several public appearances together. In recent months, Hamilton has also spent time with Kim’s four children, and the pair have continued to share glimpses of their relationship through social media and public outings.

Hamilton’s second-place finish added another podium result to his 2026 campaign, while Kardashian remained trackside throughout the celebrations following the Monaco Grand Prix.
