Maxx Crosby is steering clear of Lamar Jackson. It’s peculiar for a star pass rusher to avoid pass rushing a quarterback. But Crosby has his reasons.
Crosby, along with fellow pass rushers Von Miller and Cam Jordan, is hosting the 2026 Sack Summit in Las Vegas. As the name suggests, it’s an event for pass rushers to enjoy some quality time, learn new tricks, and create new friendships.
At the event, Crosby made it very clear that he is giving Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson a pass. However, other signal-callers better watch out for him.
I want to take a really good pursuit angle. And, for me, that delusion in my head, I’m like, [expletive] the quarterback. Besides Lamar Jackson, I’m running their [expletive] down no matter what.

Of course, not too long ago Crosby nearly became Jackson’s teammate in Baltimore. The Ravens offered a couple of first-round picks in exchange for the All-Pro edge’s services. However, the deal collapsed because Crosby failed the medical.
According to multiple sources, the doctors advised the Ravens that Crosby’s left knee (torn meniscus) wasn’t completely healed and could have long-standing repercussions. The Ravens backed out, and Crosby returned to Vegas.
I don’t really want to talk about that, to be honest. It’s water under the bridge. It’s a long time ago. I’m here and I want to be here and I’m excited to be here and I’ve got a lot of work to do. It’s water under the bridge.
Crosby said during the Raiders OTAs
Ahead of the 2025 season, Crosby signed a three-year, $106.5 million contract extension with the Raiders, with $91.5 million guaranteed. He played 15 games, racked up 73 tackles, 10 sacks, 28 tackles for loss, 6 passes defended, and had a couple of forced fumbles.
Meanwhile, the Ravens signed free agent Trey Hendrickson. Hendrickson spent the last few seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals.
Lamar Jackson had a forgetful 2025. Injuries and inconsistent performances delivered poor results. Despite that, the Ravens had the chance to qualify for postseason football on the final day, but they blew it. The Pittsburgh Steelers pipped them to the playoffs.
Jackson went 6-7, his first-ever losing campaign. He completed 63.6% of his passes for 2549 yards, threw 21 touchdowns and 7 interceptions. He also rushed for 2 TDs on the ground.
Maxx Crosby gives a big shout-out to Ravens wide receiver
Jackson’s teammate and wide receiver Zay Flowers finally got the recognition he deserved. Flowers ranked 71st in the 2026 NFL Top 100 Player Rankings.

This is the first time Flowers has made the list. Last year, he caught a career-high 86 passes for 1211 yards and scored 5 touchdowns.
The [Baltimore] Ravens’ top target has finally landed in the Top 100. Flowers’ first appearance on the all-star list comes after his best year statistically, one in which his receptions, yards and receiving scores were each team highs and career bests. Earning his second Pro Bowl bid, the slick and quick wideout began his season with a monster 143-yard Week 1. Unsurprisingly, his production dipped at times with Lamar Jackson injured, but he finished the season strong.
The rankings stated
Maxx Crosby also gave his thoughts about Flowers.
For some reason, people don’t give Zay his flowers.

The Ravens and the Raiders don’t play against each other in 2026.
