Maxx Crosby is ready to take his beef with Kirk Cousins to the next level. The Las Vegas Raiders star edge rusher wants to exchange punches with the veteran quarterback inside the UFC ring.

A couple of days after the Raiders played their first preseason game, Crosby took to Twitter and shared an intriguing proposal. Crosby wants to fight Cousins for the Walter Weight Title at UFC. He tagged both Cousins and the CEO of UFC, Dana White.

Last week, the national sports media had a field day when they heard about a major heated moment at the Raiders camp. According to eyewitness accounts, Crosby hit Cousins’s throwing arm, not once but twice. Even the mild-mannered Cousins lost his cool after the second hit.

The Pro Bowl signal-caller reportedly got up in Crosby’s face and grabbed his jersey. Teammates had to step in to separate both players. The two weren’t allowed to practice the next day.

Crosby later revealed that he only knows one way to play football, aggressively.

I know that I push the line, and sometimes I go over the line. Ultimately, it’s because I want to be the greatest at what I do, and I want to push my teammates to be the greatest version of themselves. So, when you get out there and bullets are flying, I’m not thinking about not finishing the play. That’s just not in my nature. So, that’s something I’ve been dealing with my whole career.

The Raiders played against the Arizona Cardinals in their first preseason game. Cousins and first overall draft pick Fernando Mendoza threw touchdown passes.

Insider gave grim update about Maxx Crosby and Kirk Cousins’ skirmish

Fights during training camps are very common. Even though players are instructed to check their strength when making tackles, some ignore that warning and land a few strong blows, leading to an exchange of curse words and occasional fists.

However, ESPN’s Kevin Clark stated that the Cousins-Crosby situation isn’t the typical training ground beef.

It was anything till they held them out of practice for a day, which seems to suggest that there was a level of seriousness to it…  The fact that Klint Kubiak wanted to say, ‘Hey, we don’t do that here,’ Suggests that something was a little bit amiss.

It wasn’t the first time someone had raised questions over Cousins and Crosby’s fight. During an episode of the Nightcap podcast, former NBA player Joe Johnson noted that Crosby’s tackles may have been intentional so that he could force a move to the Dallas Cowboys.

[Crosby’s] trying to do whatever he can to get on up out there, man… Yeah, yeah, he hit the quarterback on purpose.

The Raiders struck a deal with the Baltimore Ravens in the offseason. They accepted first-round draft picks to send the All-Pro pass rusher to the AFC North. However, the deal collapsed.

According to reports, the Ravens weren’t the only team interested in Crosby. The Dallas Cowboys had also sent a proposal, but the Raiders opted to do business with the Ravens.

Recently, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones revealed that they did not end their pursuit of Crosby. Jones also teased that they are open to parting with high draft picks to improve the team.
