“Messing up my knees” – Draymond Green Reveals why he decided to make a career in NBA instead of NFL
Draymond Green
Draymond Green’s performance this season has been alongside some of the best players in the league. He has been quite consistent with his play, doing his utmost job of defending in the paint for his team Golden State Warriors. Earlier this season he also claimed that he is the “Best defender in the NBA history” and this can’t be argued as he holds the no-1 spot in the same.
In the middle of the NBA’s ongoing season, Draymond decided to start a podcast to talk about the things that interest him the most. In the latest episode of “The Draymond Green Show,” Matt Barnes was invited as a guest to feature in the podcast. They went on to talk about different subjects such as NBA, NFL, Stephen Curry, early life, and Kevin Garnet.

Draymond Green reveals his love for the game of football
Green and Barnes discussed their love for the game of football and they used to play in the early days of their high school. Matt Barnes told Draymond that football was his first love before basketball became a thing in his life; he used to play with his father which drove his interest in him playing football in his early high school days.
In response to the same argument, Draymond also expressed his love for the game of football. He told Barnes that when he had basketball trails after football season in the college his knees would hurt the most as he could not even walk up and down the streets and could not even move properly.

He said, “In my mind guys were chopping me down that year……as obviously I was growing so taller……so in my mind I talked to myself like I need to make a decision right now if I really wanna play football or I’m just going all you know basketball because this football stuff is messing up my knees.”
Draymond explained to Barnes that he left football because he thought that it was messing up with his knees. And he went for basketball because of the option left, though he loves and respects the game of basketball too.
