A paparazzo received the Michael Strahan treatment. The former New York Giants pass rusher told them off.

Strahan was taking a leisurely walk on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles when a paparazzo spotted him. He quickly asked them to leave him alone.

I don’t like that… I don’t like that. I don’t shoot for you guys. Leave me alone.

The paparazzo told Strahan that he’s just a fan. But Strahan quickly retorted that fans usually approach him with a phone, not with big cameras. Once again, Strahan reminded him to stop following him.

Dude, stop following me because you just want me to… I appreciate you. I know you’re doing your job, but could you just leave me alone, please?

The New York Giants drafted Michael Strahan 40th overall in 1993. Strahan spent his entire career with the Blues. He played 216 games, racked up 854 tackles, 141.5 sacks, 36 passes defensed, and 24 forced fumbles. Strahan earned six All-Pro and eight Pro Bowl honors, twice led the league in sacks, and won the DPOY award in 2001. Strahan bagged his only Super Bowl ring in 2007, which turned out to be the final game of his career. He retired shortly after.

Strahan’s single-season record of 22.5 sacks remained intact for 24 years until Myles Garrett broke it in 2025.

Is Michael Strahan part of the Giants ownership?

Last year, Yahoo Sports reported that the Giants were looking to sell a 10% stake in the franchise. Strahan and former teammate and quarterback Eli Manning reportedly competed for the chance to be part of the ownership.

Strahan teamed up with billionaire Marc Lasry, owner of Avenue Capital Group, a global investment firm. Lasry previously owned a stake in the Milwaukee Bucks. Lasry sold that stake in 2023. Per Bloomberg and Pro Football Talk, a 10 percent ownership stake in the Giants could cost roughly $750 million.

Speaking to Sports Business Journal, Strahan claimed that he would be an excellent minority owner.

Would I be a good limited partner? I’d be an excellent limited partner. I’m not in there trying to run your draft and tell you want to do and all these things. I’d be there in whatever capacity you needed me to be.

Not much is known about Manning’s partners. However, even though one year has passed since the announcement, no deal has been struck.

The Mara family has owned a 45% stake in the Giants since founding owner Tim Mara bought the team in 1925. Currently, John Mara serves as the team’s President and CEO. The Tisch family bought a 45% stake in the organization in 1991, while the Kochs have owned a 10% minority stake after receiving NFL approval for the partnership.

In Early July, the reigning Super Bowl champions, the Seattle Seahawks, learned about their new owners. The Seahawks were bought by the Khosla family.
