WATCH: Knockdown before takeoff? Ex-NFL athlete Brendan Langley BRUTALLY BRAWLS with United Airlines employee

Ex-NFL athlete Brendan Langley fights United Airlines employee

As fight fans, we froth at the mouth to watch the fights that MMA promotions put up on weekends.

However, when there is a dearth of quality fights, or just professional fights in general, our minds turn towards finding on the internet amateur fights, or just in the moment heated blows that people exchange.

A video has emerged of a fight on the internet, and for a change, it does not have to do anything with either Dana White, Khamzat Chimaev or Bo Nickal. It showcases the impromptu fighting skills of a non-fighter (albeit, an athlete) inside an airport.

FS Video

The video, titled “Airport worker made a big mistake”, starts off with what one can assume to be a verbal scuffle between ex-NFL fighter Brendan Langley and an employee of United Airlines.

The employee then looks to square off against Langley, and slaps him in the face. This obviously didn’t sit well with the ex-NFL star as he landed a right jab flush to the chin of the employee, making him fall back, before punching him once more. The employee then can be seen landing with a thud at the back of the checkpoint. However, this did seem to flush out the employee’s spirits, as he rose back up and squared up once again with the tall athlete.

Before they could go at each other again, there seems to be security personnel rushing in, to intervene.

All we can see from the video is the first-hand account of the video that was caught on tape by a peaceful bystander. This does leave wiggle room for adulteration of what really happened.

To clear up the situation, Langley’s lawyer has provided the following statement on the incident, “Brendan Langley was minding his business walking through the airport with his bags when he was accosted by a United Airlines employee who claimed to ‘run the airport’. When Brendan tried to ignore him, the assailant followed and harassed Brendan, calling him a ‘d— and a ‘p—y’ and challenging him to fight.

In the aftermath of the incident, Langley was suspended by his team, Calgary Stampeders; and the United Airlines employee was left with a bloodied head, and eventually, fired from his job.

Twitter had a field day with the airline employee’s naive attempt at mounting a threat against the robust ex-NFL athlete. Some noteworthy responses are, “Man took so many L’s in one clip”, “F*ck around and find out”, “I’ve never understood why anyone who can’t fight, would fight! Pretty common though” and “Never bring slaps to a fistfight if your last name its not Diaz.

The full legal fallout is still anticipated, but one thing is for sure, Nate Diaz will probably not be too happy with the airline employee’s rendition of the “Stockton slap”.
