Kevin Harvick announced he would retire at the end of the 2023 Cup season as one of the most successful stock racers of all time. Harvick, 47, will spend the 22nd and final year in the premier division with the No:4 team of Stewart Hass Racing, a team he won his maiden championship with. The veteran has combined 121 wins in all three national series. He will be chasing a couple of memorable wins this season.

The two times Xfinity champion has no plans to move away from the Grid, and according to reports, he will join Fox Sports as a NASCAR analyst and pundit. He will focus on his former teammate Clint Bowyer and other renowned stock racing personnel in the Fox booth.

Harvick is no stranger to broadcasting duties as he has been integral to the Xfinity Series drivers-only coverage over the years. He established himself as a reliable commentator and analyst of the second-division series. Harvick, Joey Logano, and Kurt Busch are a few Cup racers with skills for a bright broadcasting career after their racing days.

Harvick’s first love always has been racing, and though it was hard, he decided that 2023 is the time to end that chapter of his life. He said in his retirement announcement statement, “There is absolutely nothing else in the world that I enjoy doing more than going to the race track, and I’m genuinely looking forward to this season,”.

But as I’ve gone through the years, I knew there would come a day when I had to decide. When would it be time to step away from the car? I’ve sought out people and picked their brains. When I asked them when they knew it was the right time, they said it’ll just happen, and you’ll realize that’s the right moment. You’ll make a plan and decide when it’s your last year,” Harvick added.
