NAPA is one of the most successful sponsors in NASCAR, and Hendrick Motorsports No:9 Chevy Camaro ZL1 driver Chase Elliott is one of their premier partners. The 2020 Cup champion will have an updated NAPA Paint scheme which will be used in 12 cup races if they stick to it throughout the season.
The new paint scheme has the same white and blue base as 2022 but features some upgrades. The clear break that the white and blue colors had on the car’s rear has been erased, and the 2023 version will see blue extending to the bottom. The new scheme has the NAPA logo and text reading, “Get Up and Go” instead of the NAPA Auto Parts logo.
Chase Elliott has good momentum going into the 2023 season. He was the winningest driver of the 2022 season with five victory lane visits and missed out on his second Cup title following a drop in form towards the end of the season. The prime objective of the No:9 garage this year is to chase multiple wins and back-to-back Championship 4 entries.
HMS’s multi-year contract extension with NAPA last year was a step in the right direction, as the new deal has ensured them enough funds to cater to the potential demand for resources in 2023. Elliot, who won his fourth most popular driver award in Nashville, also has primary sponsorship deals with UniFirst, Valvoline, Hooters, and LLumar.
How NASCAR Twitter reacted to Chase Elliott’s new paint scheme
Fans on Twitter had a positive reaction to the new scheme. Most agreed that the new scheme is better than what Elliott has been using in the last two seasons, while some still complained about the presence of too much white on the car. Fans were also excited to see the yellow strip that returned to the bumper.
NAPA played a big role in Chase Elliott’s NASCAR career
Chase Elliott expressed gratitude towards NAPA for supporting his racing endeavors after signing the extension back in July 2022. He claimed that nothing in his career would have been possible without the partnership. Elliott feels lucky to be part of a passionate firm and is proud to represent the track brand.
“None of this is possible without NAPA. I’m so thankful for their commitment to our team and their passion for what we do every weekend. I’ve been lucky to meet a lot of great folks from across the country who work for NAPA,” Chase Elliott said after signing a sponsorship extension in July last year.
“All of us are really proud to represent a company that takes care of its employees and its customers and is driven to be successful in every aspect. I’m looking forward to what’s to come and celebrating more wins together,” Elliott added.
