Kyle Busch's No:8 RCR car
Kyle Busch signed for Richard Childress Racing during the 2022 cup playoff in a move that surprised the entire cup garage. He ended his 15 years long stay with JGR and joined their direct rival replacing the No:8 driver, Tyler Reddick. The latter took over Kyle’s brother Kurt Busch at 23X1 Racing’s No:45 team.
Kyle Busch has already settled into the RCR garage and already scored a win for the team driving with his new teammate Austin Dillon in an endurance race at COTA. He also inherited Reddick’s major sponsor, Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen, along with other sponsors like Alsco Uniforms, 3CHI, Lenovo, and BetMGM.
The newly released scheme is BetMGM. Reddick raced under scheme two times last season and hasn’t yet given them a win. Auction Dillon has also raced under the sponsors. Gold replaced the white color used by Reddick last season, and the new number placement is also different from last season.

NASCAR Twitter positively reacted to the paint scheme as they were impressed by the black and gold scheme. Some fans even hailed it as a better scheme than Tyler Reddick’s past use. Few fans claimed Reddick had the better paint scheme.
What will be the acceptable result season for Kyle Busch and Tyler Reddick in 2023

Kyle Busch and Tyler Reddick’s plan for the future is really simple: better their 2022 season. Busch had one of his worst seasons ever with JGR last year. He scored just one win the whole season, which came in Bristol after the leaders crashed out on the race’s final turn. He failed to maintain consistency, and the contract extension pressures didn’t help him either.
On the other hand, Tyler Reddick had the best season of his career in 2022. He scored three wins for the team, marking his first three career wins. He was unfortunate, though just like Busch, Reddick was also eliminated from the playoffs in the Round of 16. Reddick’s ability to score two wins following his 23X1 announcement shows his potential.
Busch needs to prove he is still one of the sport’s elite drivers and is the right man to get RCR back in the championship conversation again. Reddick has to score multiple wins in 2023 and is tasked with securing the first playoff entry for 23X1 racing alongside Bubba Wallace.
