‘Whatever fieriness he has then, by all means, put it out there,’ Kyle Busch on William Byron who previously drove for him at KBM

Kyle Busch and William Byron
Hendrick Motorsport has been the dominant team in the Next-Gen car so far this season as the team has already won 5 out of the 12 Cup Races so far. William Byron without any doubt has been the leading driver this season without any doubt. Though he is second in the Cup Stand behind his teammate 2020 Cup Champion Chase Elliott his two-race win so far this season gives him an advantage over the No:9 Camaro ZL1 driver.
Kyle Busch on the other hand has been the leading figure for both Joe Gibbs Racing and Toyota as he has been for them over the years. The two times Cup champion so far had just one win coming at Bristol, and if not for the unfortunate incidents he has been part of the tally would have been higher.
Kyle Busch and William Byron have a history between them as the latter in his Truck Series days drove for the former owned Kyle Busch Motorsports finishing a part-time and full season with seven wins for the No:9 Toyota before moving on to the Xfinity series. Now Kyle Busch has come forth revealing how the relationship between him and Byron stands and what are his thoughts on the young-guns recent runs.

Kyle Busch acknowledged that though he and Kyle Busch still talk to each other, though they are not friends, they just had a good relationship and added they have spoken last week regarding William Byron driving a super late model which the veteran used to drive in the past. He added that they have had contacted before that regarding the bundle of joy fund which he and his parents were heavily invested in.
“William and I are still good wouldn’t say friends but you know we talk last week we were talking because he is working with and driving some super late model stuff that I used to do uh so we chatted about that and we’ve chatted before he’s helped support the bundle of joy fund over the years him and his dad his family his mom as well,” Kyle Busch said.
Kyle Busch went on to say he sees William Byron as a great ally to have but added that he still blames him for stealing Rudy Fugle from KBM, as he is now working with William Byron as his Crew Chief at HMS, and reiterated that he is still pissed about it. He went on to say that William Byron is a good kid and he is taking full advantage of the opportunity presented before him right now. Kyle Busch added that whatever fieriness William Byron has he wishes to see that in action.
“So, um you know they’ve been a great ally to have, and um working with him over the years that I did I still blame him for stealing Rudy Fugle from bush motorsports who’s now his crew chief so I’m pissed off about that,” Kyle Busch added.
“But he’s a good kid so he deserves a chance and he’s making the most of that chance right now he’s doing a good job so you know whatever fieriness he has then, by all means, put it out there let’s see it,” says Kyle Busch.
