William Byron is set to “pursue race wins and playoff success”  with his new Hendrick Motorsport extension

Hendrick Motorsport has been the dominant force in NASCAR over the years and when William Byron signed for HMS in 2018 straight after his 2017 Xfinity championship run, he was expected to be the next big thing in NASCAR. The 25 years have so far lived close to the expectations with 2 wins and 52 top 10 finishes till the beginning end of 2021.

The 2022 season so far has been fruitful for the young gun as he tops the winning chart so far this season with 2 wins to his name making him the only multi-winner alongside Ross Chastain. He is placed P3 in the Championship table behind teammate Chase Elliott and Ryan Blaney.

HMS has announced a contract extension of their No. 24 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 driver for the next 3 years. The 2018 Rookie of the year will be hoping to continue his paly off making run which he started in his first season 2in 2018.

Speaking about his extension William Byron acknowledged that he is excited t continue his hopes to win races and playoffs with such great people as in HMS. He went on to say that he is looking forward to the end of the season as he together with the team has made a championship-contending car in No:24 car.

“With the great people around me, I’m excited to continue pursuing race wins and playoff success. Together we’ve built a No. 24 team that I know will contend for championships. I’m really looking forward to the rest of the season and my years to come with Hendrick Motorsports,” William Byron said.

Rick Hendricks, the legendary owner of HMS acknowledges that they are fortunate to have him as their driver as he believes William Byron who is on an amazing trajectory is yet to get to the heights of his potential.

“William is on an amazing trajectory, and I believe he’s only just begun to scratch the surface of his potential. We are fortunate to have him in our stable,”  Rick Hendrick said.
