Renowned rapper, singer, songwriter, and actor Cameron Jibril Thomaz a.k.a Wiz Khalifa, will perform during the stage break of the 2023 Clash at the Colosseum, the unofficial season opener at LA Colosseum. The Muti-Platinum artist will perform after 75 of the 150-lap events that will take place on the 0.25 miles temporary asphalt track.

The LA Clash replaced Daytona’s traditional  Busch Light Clash event last year. It was run resounding success as the premier stock car exhibition arcing event attracted a new set of fans. One of the event’s major attractions alongside the race was the pre-race and halftime music shows.

Trackhouse Racing co-owner and popstar Pitbull performed in the opening show before the race. In 2023 the pre-race performance will be led by Cypress Hill, a veteran rap band from Southern California. Ice-Cube performed during the halftime break last year, and Wiz Khalifa will perform this year.

The race spectacle last year saw 2022 Cup champion Joey Logano scoring the first win in the 7th Gen car beating Kyle Busch to the finish. Unlike last time when teams were uncertain about the next-generation car’s performance this year, the race will be more competitive as all the teams have enough data to field a solid car. A win in LA will give the team positive momentum going into Daytona 500.
