It was reported earlier that we can expect Klay Thompson to make his comeback in the NBA on Sunday when Golden State Warriors face Cleveland Cavaliers. These rumors were in the air for quite some time now and it looks like the time has finally come to see the star shooting guard of Warriors return to the court.
Thompson’s recent live on Instagram added fuel to the fire where he answered the question of his return while he was sailing his boat towards San Francisco.
Klay Thompson hints at his potential return
When being asked by fans on Instagram when he would return to play Klay replied by saying that he would be playing for the Warriors again really soon.
“I’ll be back soon people. I’ll be back soon. It’s been a long journey, but guess what? Smooth waters never made a skilled sailor,” Klay Thompson on his Instagram live.
The Warriors guard knows that there is a lot of hype around his return and any wrong statement given by him would make things messed up for him and his team as well. Furthermore, the statement confirms the rumor to some extent that Thompson would be returning on Sunday.

Thompson’s preparations for his return
Warriors coach earlier said that Thompson would be in the starting lineup once he is ready to play. He is currently seen practicing with other teammates such as Stephen Curry and Draymond Green.
Thompson completed a five-day stay with Santa Cruz of the G League last month, playing three game-length scrimmages. His rehab is complete, but he’s been working to elevate his conditioning levels as much as possible before rejoining a Warriors team which is one of the best in the entire league currently with a record of 28-7.
The other players in Warriors have even shown their excitement in having Klay Thompson back in the team. Thompson coming back in the team would not only make the team stronger for the coming matches in the league but it would be a spectacle for Klay’s fans to see him return to court after a long gap of two years.
