The stringent covid protocols have affected every single team in the league. Some of the other popular teams who have been sidelined due to covid protocols like Kyrie Irving, Trae Young, Luka Doncic hold a lot of relevance in their respective teams.

Even in the showdown tomorrow between Los Angeles Lakers and Brooklynn Nets there are chances that we might miss LeBron James and Kevin Durant competing against each other as Durant has been sidelined due to the health and safety protocols. However, if the players association and NBA come on a mutual agreement, there might be chances that some miracle may happen for fans on the Christmas showdown.

Lakers star LeBron James recently took to Instagram and shared the popular “spider man pointing the spider-man” meme. With the label of each spiderman as covid-19, common cold and flu.  Well, the cryptic message behind this meme is that NBA is being too much aggressive with its COVID-19 protocols, sidelining the biggest players because of the presumptions of their exposure to the omicron variant, even though no confirmation has come on the matter whether they have been infected or not.

People reacted to the way LeBron James has compared the pandemic with the common cold and flu as it could be seen with the reactions and a lot of negative attention is being given to the post. He should show more common sense in his post instead of irking people over a global pandemic.

Well, the most obvious reason why the King has reacted in this way is because of the fact of degrading in his team’s performance losing four consecutive games recently. Primarily the anticipated reason for Los Angeles Lakers’ dip in the performance is because of the sidelining of major players of the team such as Trevor Ariza, Kent Bazemore, Malik Monk, and head coach Frank Vogel because of the league’s covid protocols. So, it’s pretty obvious to see the performance dip from the Lakers and such kinds of reactions from the remaining players are no surprise as well.
