Amar’e Stoudemire, the former Phoenix Suns star was recently arrested in Miami on the charges of one count of misdemeanor battery and one count of domestic violence. Allegedly, Stoudemire “punched” and “slapped” one of his daughters in his Miami condo. The police report was obtained by Maimi Herald.
Stoudemire allegedly hit his daughter for being disrespectful towards his mother, While Stoudemire was on the phone call, he asked his daughter not to be disrespectful to her. He said, “You’re talking back again,” when the girl denied it. The news says, after she talked back to him he punched her in the jaw.
His daughter contacted her mother, Stoudemire‘s ex-wife about the incident. She picked up all the children from the home and immediately contacted the police about the incident. According to the report, the teenage girl “was sad because she received a whooping from him for being disrespectful and a liar.”
Amar’e Stoudemire has four children with Alexis Welch named, Assata Stoudemire, Aré Stoudemire, Amare Stoudemire Jr., and Alijah Carsares Stoudemire. Assata Stoudemire is largely in the headline and is it being said that Amar’e hit her.

After the report of the former NBA All-Star hitting his teenage daughter was out in the media, the former Phoenix Suns star released the statement saying, that allegations put against him “does not square with the facts.” In the statement released on his social media account, Stoudemire wrote, “I could never see myself assaulting any person, especially my children. I respect, protect, and love my family, particularly my children. As a father, I ask for your grace as we secure our space and privacy.”
According to The Herald, following his arrest Stoudemire exercised his right to remain silent. A no-contact order for the duration of the investigation and pretrial release were both issued to the accused. The next date for the hearing is set for January 17, 2023. The 2003 Rookie of the Year played 14 years in the NBA and averaged 18.9 points per game in his career with over 50 field goal percentages.
