Luka Doncic, the star player for the Dallas Mavericks, destroyed the Detroit Pistons with 53 points on Monday night as the Mavs defeated them 111-105. But Luka’s news-making was not limited to that; following the triumph, the 23-year-old was also seen arguing with Pistons assistant coach Jerome Allen. It was a really dramatic moment that added a little bit of bitterness to Doncic’s otherwise fantastic evening.
In a now-viral clip, Luka Doncic can be seen trash-talking Jerome Allen and the Pistons player Isaiah Livers. Throughout the course of the game, Doncic and Pistons assistant coach Jerome Allen had been exchanging heated words. He and Detroit player Isaiah Livers got into a shouting match with one other on the bench, which did little to defuse the tension.
Livers was brutally roasted by Doncic. Doncic addressed Livers, “WHO ARE YOU?” like a high school bully before laughing in his face. The Mavericks dance team was nearby, adding to the drama of this tense moment as they practiced their routine.
Even if Jerome Allen withheld specifics of what Doncic said, it is obvious that it was enough to set the Pistons’ assistant coach off. Luka also made the decision that he had to express his thoughts after the game. Fortunately, sane judgment won out and the situation did not get much worse. For what it’s worth, Dwayne Casey, the head coach of the Pistons, downplayed the incident, saying it was simply a case of being caught up in the moment.

It will be difficult for anyone to determine who the true MVP is for the 2022–23 NBA season. Luka Doncic is trailing Jayson Tatum, Joel Embiid, and Nikola Jokic in the race for the 2023 MVP. He is having one of the best individual seasons the NBA has ever seen.
In a recent episode of KG Certified, Kevin Garnett was joined by JR Rider, a former teammate. The two talked about the constructive disagreements that everyone will have while selecting the season’s most valuable player. The 2004 MVP went on and on about how Doncic is his MVP since such a young age.
Garnett later tweeted, “He’s figured out the league I got @luka7doncic to win MVP this year and truly believe he has figured out the league… am I trippin?” The Mavs are at 27-25 after beating the Detroit Pistons 111-105 on Monday. And given their roster, it is obvious that they rely entirely on their main guy to see them through each night. That most certainly won’t work in the playoffs.
