NFL Analyst defends Russell Westbrook after another Lakers Shitshow
IN this whole fiasco, Russell Westbrook is surely the guy who has borne the brunt the most. His homecoming hasn’t been as welcoming or warming as it was anticipated to be.
This off-season, the Lakers traded Russell Westbrook from the Washington Wizards in an exchange deal of $44 Million. The idea was to have another MVP on the roster and make the LA Lakers one of the best teams this season. Well, the idea did get a standing ovation from the fans, and the team did look stronger but on the paper only.
The Lakers have justified themselves to be placed with the adjectives of bad because they have been nothing but horrendous on the court. With Christmas’s performance, the fans are even more disappointed as the Lakers met their 5th consecutive defeat against the Brooklyn Nets.

Chris Broussard defends Russell Westbrook after Lakers vs Nets
Russell Westbrook may have improved his point game as the season is progressing but his overall game pattern seems to have hit the Lakers in the wrong place. Westbrook’s fragmented defense and inability to move the ball around the court resulting in multiple turnovers in a single game has caused the Lakers a lot of their games and might as well their NBA title.
But it’s not just Westbrook who has been lackadaisical but the whole roster.
On the post-Christmas episode of Fos Sports’ First Things First, Chris Broussard, one of the hosts, defended Russel Westbrook. He said,
“We all knew Russell Westbrook was not good for the Lakers with LeBron James and Anthony Davis. But Westbrook is being blamed more than he should be. Well, he missed 16 shots, some potential dunks, and layups, so what? He has his bad games, bad days .”
Kudos to Chris for standing up for Russell Westbrook and one should always realize that every day for a player is not a sunny way. But are people really wrong to expect something from Russell Westbrook after he showcased his potential spectrum with the Wizards last season?
Hitting an unproductively slump is common for players but an elongated duration does raise a lot of questions and doubts, and he can only make these go away by performing on the court.
Russell Westbrook is averaging 19.6 points, 7.9 Rebounds, and 8.1 assists per game so far this season, and if statistically views it is not that horrible it surely is way down his potential mark. So, the fans are only hoping that Westbrook would break his productivity dormancy and dominate the court once again.
