The Los Angeles Rams vs. Pittsburgh Steelers game ended with the Steelers handing the Rams their fourth loss of the season. The Steelers sealed their win against the Rams on a QB sneak late in the fourth quarter. It was a controversial call, though, as Rams’ superstar DT Aaron Donald did not agree with the spot on the play and kept on calling it a “bad spot.”
Donald was mic’d up during the game and saw the refs giving the Steelers a favorable spot. He immediately called out the refs and was continuously telling his teammates that it was a “bad spot.” The refs, however, did not change the call and gave the Steelers the first down, which ultimately sealed the win for them.
In a video posted on Twitter by JPAFootball, Donald was seen telling the refs:
He didn’t get it. He didn’t get that.
After that, he was seen yelling:
That’s a bad spot,
Presumably to his head coach Sean McVay.
Donald knew what the Steelers were going to do with their QB sneak as he told Jonah Williams that Steelers QB Kenny Pickett was going to hit the B-gap. That’s exactly what happened, but the Rams failed to stop it.
The Rams are 3–4 through seven weeks this season. They have a host of great players, but the team has been marred by injuries the last couple of seasons. They will play their next game against the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium this Sunday.
Aaron Donald ‘still the better player’ over Chiefs’ Chris Jones, according to NFL exec
Aaron Donald is a beast. So is the Kansas City Chiefs’ DT, Chris Jones. Donald is a three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year, and Chris Jones is a two-time Super Bowl champion and one of the best players in the NFL right now.
However, according to an NFL exec, Donald is still a tier above Jones in the league.
He's one of the few guys I've ever seen who gets triple-teamed on occasion. Occasionally, you will literally see that. He's a monster player. And he works hard enough that he will age well, even if he declines slightly.NFL exec said of Donald, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.
Donald was drafted by the Rams in the 2014 NFL Draft. Since then, he has established himself as arguably the greatest defensive player of all time. He was a huge part of the Rams’ 2021 Super Bowl-winning team. Jones, on the other hand, was selected in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft. Although he hasn’t been crowned the best defensive player in the NFL, he has been instrumental in the Chiefs winning two Super Bowls.
