The Buffalo Bills’ week 17 game against the Cincinnati Bengals game was postponed indefinitely by the NFL after a tragic incident. Bills safety Damar Hamlin was taken to a hospital after he collapsed on the field during the game.

The second-year safety was injured after a collision with the Bengals wideout Tee Higgins. The Cincinnati receiver tried to shrug Hamlin off of him when the latter tried to tackle him. Hamlin managed to bring Higgins down but not before receiving a heavy hit from the Bengals WR. After the tackle, the defensive back stood up to adjust his helmet, before he collapsed on the turf of Paul Brown Stadium.

Soon after the incident, an ambulance was rushed to the field to transport him to the UC Medical Center. As soon as fans saw the ambulance and the crying players, fans understood that this was not a normal injury. Damar Hamlin had to receive CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation) after they found out that he suffered cardiac arrest during the tackle.
