When you look at Jalen Hurts’ numbers for this season they are not that impressive and one might say he has been having an average season. However, that is far from the truth as Hurts has influenced every game that he has featured in and is a big reason why the Philadelphia Eagles have come so far.

Just to give an example of the amount of impact he has on a game for the Eagles, they are currently 15-1 with Hurts this year, 20-3 in the last 23 games he has started, 8-0 in his last eight starts vs. winning teams, 20-5 when the Eagles are plus-1 or better in turnover margin and finally 17-4 when he isn’t throwing an interception.

Hurts is an MVP nominee this year and will be the danger man for the San Francisco 49ers who are already wary of his threat. But there is one NFL analyst who thinks Hurts is not at par with the elite quarterbacks of the NFL.

However even with such impressive performances throughout this season, NFL analyst Bart Scott is still not impressed with Jalen Hurts. He thinks that even though Jalen Hurts is good he cannot be termed as a ‘superstar’ and only three quarterbacks currently Joe Burrow, Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes can be attributed to that term.

“In this league, too often we confuse good, with star, with superstar. It is only three superstar quarterbacks in this league. It’s Allen, Burrow, and Mahomes. Everyone else is a product of a system, Jalen Hurts is not a superstar.”

However earlier, Bart Scott has admitted that Jalen Hurts has surpassed Dak Prescott when rankings for quarterbacks are considered. Scott said that Hurts is a better runner and more accurate than Prescott.

Jalen Hurts is a better runner, and he’s more accurate right now. And he has better weapons on the outside,” Scott said. “Jalen Hurts has passed Dak Prescott as far as the rankings at quarterback.”
