“Hips don’t lie”: Fans react to Jamaal Williams getting fined for his HILARIOUS touchdown celebration

Over the years, we have seen some amazing endzone celebrations in the NFL, be it Rob Gronkowski’s classic spike or Deion Sanders iconic walk to the endzone, they have never failed to not entertain us. However, over the years, the league has been cutting down on the freedom that players have by imposing fines on certain celebrations that may be vulgar to an extent. The fans do not have an issue with this but the NFL wants to make football a sport that one can watch with their families.

The latest athlete to be fined is Jamaal Williams, the RB for the Detroit Lions. In last week’s game against the Minnesota Vikings, Williams celebrated his second trip to the endzone by doing the Hingle McCringleberry celly, the dance is as hilarious as the name itself. However, the NFL was not laughing over this as first, Williams got flagged by the referee for unsportsmanlike conduct and later in the week had to pay up $13,261 for the dance.

Williams has done this celebration multiple times but never has he gotten flagged or fined which made it surprising as to why the league has an objection with it now. The officials found it offensive as his rhythmic movements were similar to well, some movements that you’d find yourself doing in the bedroom. Williams has not yet mentioned if he will be appealing the fine but his dance was clearly expensive. The move included him thrusting four times, Tom Pelissero calculated that to roughly $3,315 per pump. That’s a lot of money for 4 pumps. Fans were confused by the NFL’s decision to punish Williams and here’s how they reacted:
