The Kansas City Chiefs‘ star TE Travis Kelce has garnered a lot of attention this season, mainly because of his relationship with mega pop star Taylor Swift. Their relationship began earlier this year when Swift accepted Kelce’s invitation to watch the Chiefs’ week 3 game against the Chicago Bears. Since then, the couple have been going strong and getting closer and closer.
Their relationship has also divided a lot of opinions. An athlete who knows what it’s like to date a high-profile star is former NBA player, Lamar Odom who dated Khloe Kardashian from 2009 to 2016. The former Los Angeles Lakers‘ star had some advice for Kelce as the superstar tight end looks to enhance his relationship with the pop star.
Odom said in a recent interview with The Messenger:
My advice would be to be strong and stay by her and be as close to her as possible. There are going to be millions of women that want to taste what Taylor Swift is tasting, and it can be overwhelming because we’re men. He just has to be strong and stick by his girl, and he’ll be all right.
Kelce attended Swift’s Eras Tour concert in Argentina a few weeks ago as the couple was captured kissing each other backstage. They have since been spotted together multiple times. Kelce and the Chiefs are looking to defend their Super Bowl title this season.
Travis Kelce declares that he won’t leave the field unless he’s fatigued against the Packers
The Kansas City Chiefs will play their week 13 game against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. The Chiefs’ superstar tight end recently said that he thinks about retirement “more than anyone could ever imagine.” He also spoke about the toll that his 10 surgeries have had on his body throughout his career. However, the tight end remains resolute to play as much as he can and said that only fatigue can bring him out against the Packers on Sunday.
Kelce told the reporters ahead of the Chiefs’ game against the Packers:
The only time I'm ever coming off the field, like me personally coming off the field, is if I feel like I'm just too exhausted, or I've just had so many plays in a row, or I just had a big play where I had a big hit or something. Those are the only times you'll see me come off the field. Outside of that, it's all just whatever the game plan is - and I'm always on board with that.
Kelce so far this season has accumulated 732 yards and 5 touchdowns. Against the Las Vegas Raiders last week, the tight end had 6 receptions for 91 yards. He will look to help the Chiefs win their second game in a row on Sunday against the Packers.
