“Ready to move on,” Lamar Jackson officially ‘WANTS OUT’ from Ravens as QB seeks fresh start amid trade rumors
After the way he has been treated by the team, Lamar is right in wanting to do nothing with the team.

We have officially entered into Week 2 of free agency and yet not a single team has come forward and had a conversation with Lamar Jackson regarding his demands. This has confounded everyone in the league as to why teams are not jumping at the chance of having a great generational talent like Jackson under the center.
Since the start of the 2022 season, Lamar Jackson has been in negotiations with the Baltimore Ravens regarding a contract extension. However, Jackson’s demand of a $200 million fully guaranteed deal threw a wrench into the deal and since then there has been a back-and-forth battle between the two parties, as neither one is happy with the deal the other is suggesting.
The star quarterback was offered a $133 million fully guaranteed deal back in September, but he rejected the lowball offer. Kyler Murray got a $160 million guaranteed in his five years, $230.5 million extension and he is yet to win a league MVP. Surely Jackson deserves to be treated with a bit more respect by Baltimore.

Lamar Jackson doesn’t want a fully guaranteed deal
When the Ravens couldn’t get Lamar Jackson to agree to a lesser deal, they placed the non-exclusive franchise tag on him. After more than a year of talking with the front office and being unable to convince them to a deal of his liking, looks like the 2019 unanimous NFL MVP wants nothing to do with the team and wants a fresh start. Sources told Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk that Jackson is not looking for a fully guaranteed deal now and he is “ready to move on” from Baltimore.
If this news is true, then teams would now definitely be interested in acquiring Jackson. Panthers GM Scott Fitterer said on Monday that the reason why the team did not pursue the 26-year-old was that he was “an expensive option.” Teams would’ve to give up their two first-round picks in addition to a multi-year contract in the range of $200 million and that too fully guaranteed.
With the fully guaranteed deal now out of the window for Lamar Jackson, teams might give signing him another shot. He would still be entitled to at least $160 – $180 million fully guaranteed money, and that doesn’t seem unreasonable for franchises worth billions. The Ravens still have the power to match any offers made by teams and keep the former first-round pick in Baltimore.
As the source told Florio, Jackson doesn’t want to play for the Ravens anymore, so the team can’t do anything in that matter as they’ll have to let him go. After the way he has been treated by the team, Lamar is right in wanting to do nothing with the team. The exact details of Jackson’s contract demands are still unclear to the public, but with the recent development, it might be made clear very soon. Maybe Jackson will talk about it in his exclusive interview with himself!
Let’s hope Lamar Jackson gets the contract he wishes for and plays for a team that is appreciative of his skills!
