Micah Parsons

Micah Parsons is a legend in the making. The sophomore linebacker is just 2 years into his NFL career, but many across the league have hailed him the best in the league right now, if not all time. The praise is a bit premature, yet there is evidence to support the claim. The Cowboys-Rams game yesterday was another example of Parsons’ all world talent.

The Dallas Cowboys were at LA Rams for their week 5 match-up. The Rams boasted of a stellar defense, led by perennial All Pro and one of the best to ever do it Aaron Donald, while the Cowboys had the man who will give Donald a serious run for his money as the best defender in the game-Micah Parsons. Cowboys won 22-10 over the defending Super Bowl champs who have been struggling as of late, while the Cowboys have been on a roll with backup Quarterback Cooper Rush.

The Cowboys are on a 4-game winning streak and a major reason has been the Cowboys’ dominant defense under Micah Parsons. Parsons is an all world talent, but he also showed that he is a true team player with grit and determination in the game against Rams as he continued to play after suffering a groin injury.

Per Parsons he injured his left groin in the first quarter and continued to play through pain. Cowboys Defensive assistant George Edwards was concerned and asked Parsons whether he was a “go.”

George,” Parsons told him, “as long as I’m alive, I can go.'”
Parsons not only played throughout the game, he played an instrumental role with his 2 sacks of the total 5 times Quarterback Matthew Stafford.
Cowboys faithful have a great future to look forward to with Parsons leading the defensive unit for years to come.
