Looks like Fox Sports analyst Nick Wright‘s ‘Purdy hate’ is not stopping anytime soon. Recently, he took another jibe at the San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy. The First Take analyst, in a recent episode of the show, has made a strong prediction that the Lombardi trophy dream of the 49ers will face a setback due to the quarterback’s inability.

Aside from injury, the biggest question mark with them (49ers) and are they will win this year's Super Bowl is their quarterback. And that is not a stinking indictment, it can be read like that. Look at the rest of the team.-- For Purdy, if he has a disastrous game or he has a fine game and then has a disastrous moment at the end--either of them will be a red siren moment for them.

This is not the first time the analyst had a jibe at the Francisco quarterback. Prior to this, the analyst criticized others for hyping Purdy as the possible MVP winner. It is known to the NFL community that Wright is a Patrick Mahomes fanatic. He always raises his bar irrespective of the Kansas City Chiefs result.

In the case of Brock Purdy, he always has had some prejudices. Since the beginning of the league, he refuted Purdy’s contribution to the MVP award. He gave his flowers to Christian McCaffrey for the early success of the 49ers. He even denied the role of Purdy in achieving five consecutive wins in the first five games.

Brock Purdy had redemption after the bye-week

The 49ers quarterback witnessed multiple upheavals in the league. He started brilliantly and had a four-touchdown game against the Dallas Cowboys. However, further down the road, Purdy started losing momentum after that. He had one of the worst performances against the Cleveland Browns.

The QB started getting intercepted, a rarity for him in the first five games. He picked up five interceptions in the next three.

The bye week came as a blessing for the 49ers. Purdy even acknowledged that it provided a much-needed rest to his arms and his brain.

To be able to step away from the game, take a breather, understand where we’re at, what we have to do, was huge for me to clear my mind.

As a result, he came back strongly and started collecting touchdowns. He had a fierce performance against the Buccaneers and the Jaguars. After bye week, Purdy has registered seven TDs in three games. His winning performances have again triggered the MVP discussion in favor of him.
