The 2023 NFL offseason turned up the heat as it entered free agency on March 15. Teams were allowed to strike a deal with impending free agents without facing any legal backlash, unlike the Miami Dolphins who were stripped of their first-round draft pick this year because they tried to poach Tom Brady while he was still with the Buccaneers.

Many teams desperately needed a seasoned quarterback, and their wish was fulfilled during the free agency. The Saints signed Derek Carr, the Seahawks, and the Giants extended Geno Smith and Daniel Jones, respectively. Even Tampa Bay decided to throw caution to the wind and signed Baker Mayfield to a one-year deal. While most of the free agents have found a team to play for in the coming season, there are a few who are still in talks and are waiting to get signed.

One of the most notable free agents remaining in is wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. The former Los Angeles Ram hasn’t played a single snap since he scored a memorable touchdown in Super Bowl LVI. OBJ has recovered from his injury and is back to his Pro Bowl self, which was evident from the clips that went viral from his recent workouts.

Odell Beckham Jr. recently held a private workout for teams in Arizona and showed off his skills and removed any rumors or doubts in the minds of teams who were thinking that he isn’t the same wide receiver he was before his injury. The clips that went viral on the Internet saw OBJ catching the football one-handed, much like his iconic catch from his rookie season with the Giants.

Following his workout, reports flooded the league, stating that many teams, including the Patriots, Cowboys, and Cardinals among others, were interested in having him onboard and elevate their offense. After Beckham wasn’t signed by any team in the first two days of free agency, thanks to the First Amendment of the U. S. Constitution, the media reported that the 30-year-old wideout was asking for a whopping $20 million per year salary.

However, the Super Bowl-winning receiver has cleared the air in his latest tweet. Beckham wrote, “I’m just so confused where the quote is from me tht said I want 20…..all I’m sayin is 4 AINT enough.” A player with the skills and presence of mind as OBJ should be paid at least more than $4 million if not close to $20 million. Beckham doesn’t need to prove that he is one of the best receivers in the league, it is evident from his stats. And the star wideout has cleared that he hasn’t been signed because of an extravagant ask from him.

There are a number of teams eager to give their quarterbacks a weapon like Odell Beckham Jr. on the offense. Maybe OBJ has more than one lucrative offer from clubs around the league and he is contemplating where he has the best chance to win another Super Bowl. The Cowboys still remain the one number spot for him to land in 2023. Let’s see if he goes to Dallas or somewhere else. What if he is signed by the New York Jets who have gone all out, just like the Rams did in 2021, in signing Aaron Rodgers and other key players on offense, won’t that be something?
