Tom Brady‘s seventh and final Super Bowl ring came with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. After spending 20 years and winning six Super Bowls with the New England Patriots, Brady joined the Bucs in 2020 and won a Super Bowl in his first season with the team. He was also crowned as the Super Bowl MVP for his heroics.

The Bucs defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl, 31-9. Brady finished the game with 201 passing yards and 3 touchdowns while completing 21 of his 29 pass attempts. He celebrated the win in style as well during the Super Bowl parade in Tampa. A video of Brady chucking the Super Bowl trophy from one boat to another during the celebration went viral on social media. He finally opened up about it on his podcast, ‘Let’s Go!

Brady said:

I was definitely inebriated. Because had I not been, I don't think I would have taken the chance, realizing that that thing would have fell like 90 feet to the bottom of the bay. That would have been a disaster for me. My inhibitions were lowered and that's what made it seem like nothing was a bad idea that day. Throwing the trophy was a very bad idea, but it seemed like a really great idea at the time.

Brady went on to play two more seasons with the Buccaneers before retiring earlier this year. In his glorious 23-year NFL career, Brady won seven Super Bowls and was named Super Bowl MVP five times. He also won 3 regular season MVPs and retired as the winningest quarterback in league history.

Tom Brady agrees with J.J. Watt over controversial player fines in the NFL

The New York Jets’ RB Breece Hall was recently fined $43,709 for ‘unnecessary roughness.’ Watt made his feelings known about that as he said:

$43,709 fine for a running back lowering his shoulder to protect himself from an incoming tackler flying in at him. A perfectly normal, routine football play. What are we doing with these fines?!

Brady agreed with Watt and wrote, “We need to fix this!” on Sports Illustrated‘s social media post.

Brady also criticized the substandard coaching of the NFL in recent times. He retired from the NFL earlier this year and will join Fox as an analyst from next season.
