The Kansas City Chiefs have finally done it! They have thrown away Cincinnati fans’ jibes and gibberish talk in the bin.
All the ‘Burrowhead’ and ‘3-0’ taunting have been completely shut down by Patrick Mahomes and co on Sunday night’s AFC Championship matchup. In a very tightly contested game, the Chiefs got to manage a 23-20 win against the Cincinnati Bengals in the last few seconds. And after the game was over, the Chiefs fandom has come all guns blazing for all the trolling they had to undergo in the past week by the Cincinnati populace.
Leading the pack is the Chiefs star Travis Kelce, who didn’t even wait till the trophy presentation started to ‘give it back’ to Bengals fans. He right away got into Mahomes post-game interview and yelled at the top of their lungs, “Burrowhead my a**”. After all the trash talk the Chiefs fandom had to endure, these words from Kelce were guaranteed. Although this was just the beginning of clapping back from the star TE.
A few days back, Cincinnati’s mayor Aftab Pureval, in an apparent attempt to boost the morale of his team, tried an uncalled-for gimmick. He asked the Chiefs QB to check for his parentage in reference to him getting ‘owned’ by Joe Burrow in every encounter they had in the past. Before this Sunday’s game, Burrow has maintained a clean 3-0 record against the Kansas-based team. Although now that the record is slightly tainted, Kelce made sure to give it back to Pureval at the trophy presentation.
While appreciating the Lamar Hunt Trophy and addressing all the Chiefs fans, Kelce made sure to call out the Cincinnati mayor for his insulting words. He said, “Hey I’ve got some wise words for that Cincinnati mayor. Know your role and shut your mouth! you Jabroni!” Channeling his inner Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, he further added “you gotta fight for your ride”. Yikes! The elder Kelce sure does keep all receipts.
Travis Kelce and the Chiefs advance to Super Bowl LVII

With this victory against the Bengals, the Chiefs will now be playing their third Super Bowl in the past four years. Despite Mahomes not being at his lethal best, the Kansas City Chiefs avenged last year’s loss by beating the Cincinnati Bengals. The 27-year-old QB, even with the sore leg, managed to guide the Chiefs to a game-winning drive, which resulted in a 45-yard field goal attempt.
Even with all the celebrations for the Chiefs, though, the game has been labeled as a controversial one. The game was a poorly officiated affair which ruined the fun for the NFL fans. Furthermore, the fans are now accusing the refs of foul play after their brainless call gave the Chiefs an extra attempt at a 3rd down during an important time of the game.
Nonetheless, the Chiefs will now head to Arizona to face the NFC Champions Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII. And what a time to be a fan of the Kelce brothers! Fans can expect a thriller of a contest from both Jason and Travis Kelce to grab that Lombardi.
