Kenny Pickett and the Pittsburgh Steelers suffered an embarrassing defeat to a formidable Bills side. The Steelers are looking weak since the start of the season as they have lost 4 games and won just one. They were up against the dark horses of the NFL this year, the Buffalo Bills.
During the fourth quarter of the Steelers-Bills game, Bills DE Shaq Lawson attempted a low tackle against the Steelers QB Kenny Pickett that completely swept him apart. Pickett got up and ferociously attacked the Bill’s DE as he felt it was an unfair tackle from Lawson.
Kenny Pickett was later flagged for unnecessary roughness as many players joined the scuffle that created chaos and Bills DE A.J. Epenesa was ejected from the game.
“From my opinion, I felt like he went after my knee after I threw it,” Kenny Pickett said. “That’s it. You know, tempers flare. I don’t care, I’m gonna keep playing to the last play of the game. That was it. All good with me.”
Steelers HC Mike Tomlin supported his QB and stated that Shaq Lawson was wrong to attempt such a brutal tackle at the end of the game.
The tackle that Shaq Lawson committed wasn’t needed as the Bills were up by many points in a completely one-sided affair. Twitter erupted after the challenge from Bills DE and started debating who was right and who was wrong.
“Bills are a dirty team”: Twitter supports Kenny Pickett’s outburst after the unfair tackle from DE Shaq Lawson

Kenny Pickett immediately got up and showed Shaq Lawson, which started all the chaos and commotion. Twitter was divided between the two, but the majority sided with Kenny Pickett as they thought the Steelers QB had a good reason to get angry.
Though the Steeler’s performance was sub-par, Kenny Pickett had a decent first game for the Steelers. The QB completed 34 of 52 passes for 327 yards with 1 interception.
Many users on Twitter also pointed out the constant leniency of the NFL regarding this situation, as it has affected a lot of players through career-ending injuries. A low-blow tackle can cause serious complications in the knee and put the player out for many months, if not years.
