Ohio State head coach Ryan Day is slowly building his roster of the future with several new commits. Among the newer players is five-star recruit Jamier Brown.
Brown verbally committed to the Buckeyes as early as November 2024. He fended off other offers from big names like Texas A&M, Auburn, Miami, Oregon, and Maryland.
Recently, Brown revealed a fascinating fact about the recruitment process. One school allegedly offered him “a couple of females” to de-commit from the Buckeyes.

Brown visited the Ohio State University campus on May 29. So far, he’s staying committed to Ryan Day’s cause.
Day also recruited four-star quarterback prospect Brady Edmunds earlier in the year. He committed to the Buckeyes around the same time as Brown. Day is still looking to add a couple more QBs to his roster in the current window.

According to Hudson Standish of 247Sports, Brown is a,
Certified burner who works both inside and outside the numbers for [the] Dayton-area power program [at] Wayne High School. 10.53 100m and 21.37 200m verified personal bests stack up favorably with prospects multiple cycles older than him and led all freshman track athletes with a 6.75 in the 60m dash. Elite speed clearly translates with the ability to take first-level targets to the house, stretch the field vertically, and create explosive plays in the return game.

Did Ryan Day have an illicit affair with the mother of one of the Buckeyes quarterback commits?
A curious story circulated last May about veteran Buckeyes’ coach Ryan Day. Allegedly, Day, who has been married for a while and has a son who committed to play for the Northwestern Wildcats in the current cycle, had an illicit affair with the mother of one of his quarterback commits. Both Day and the Buckeyes have yet to address the rumors.

Day led the Buckeyes to a CFP final win in 2024 and last year finished second in their conference, setting up a Cotton Bowl game against Miami. The Hurricanes won 24-14.
