Riley Gaines has now claimed that debate was a matter of “spiritual warfare”.

She said while speaking at the USA Young Women summit at the weekend. During the meet, she slammed the NCAA directors for trying to “silence” athletes from speaking up regarding the matter involving Lia Thomas. The trans swimming champion has been the focal point of this discussion and was allowed to participate in an event.

Gaines and other teammates including Paula Scanlan, were uncomfortable in sharing changing rooms with Thomas. The athletes were alleged to have been ordered to remain silent in this matter.
