The former Washington Commanders quarterback, Robert Griffin III, condemned the actions of the Green Bay Packers RB Josh Jacobs, amid his highly sensational arrest over the weekend. The running back faces five criminal charges, including strangulation and suffocation, after the police responded to a domestic disturbance call.
The Hobart/Lawrence (Wisconsin) police were dispatched to the scene of a complaint involving Jacobs on Saturday at 8.37 am. Michael Renkas, the police chief, said that the rusher was arrested three days later on Tuesday and booked into Brown County Jail on charges of strangulation and suffocation, battery-domestic abuse, criminal damage to property-domestic abuse, disorderly conduct-domestic abuse, and intimidation of a victim.
As it stands, it is not confirmed whether the other party was the Instagram influencer, Ash Kaash, whom the running back was linked to for some time now. The rumors of their pair-up had heated up after Jacobs was featured in one of her videos during their trip to Cancun. The model was previously rumored to be dating the Chicago Bears quarterback, Caleb Williams.
In a statement released by Renkas, he acknowledged that the investigation remains active and further information will be withheld for the moment. Nonetheless, Jacobs has denied the allegations through his lawyers, David Chesnoff, Richard Schonfeld, and Clarence Duchac in a joint statement. However, netizens have turned on the rusher as the followspot once again falls on the increasing criminal charges and domestic violence involving NFL players.
Griffin III, who occasionally makes statements about the NFL on his public platforms, tweeted that, “Real men don’t hit women.”

The Green Bay Packers and the NFL have commented on the issue. As the league faces an ultimatum to tackle the alarming rate of such incidents, spokesperson Brian McCarthy said, “We are aware of the report and have been in contact with the club.” Meanwhile, a Packers spokesperson said that they are withholding any comment at this instance.
Josh Jacobs released from Brown County Jail after his hearing was canceled
The Green Bay Packers RB will not make his scheduled court appearance, following the sudden cancellation of his Wednesday afternoon hearing. The development comes as Wisconsin prosecutors announced they require a deeper investigation into the domestic violence allegations before filing formal charges.

Brown County District Attorney David L. Lasee confirmed that his office is not yet prepared to make a formal charging decision. “Our office has requested additional investigation, as there is reason to believe that additional evidence may exist,” Lasee said in a statement, noting that the ongoing inquiry will remain under wraps for now. Following the decision, jail records indicate that Jacobs was released from custody at 12:20 p.m. on Wednesday.

In a joint statement, Jacobs’ defense attorneys expressed that they were pleased with the district attorney’s decision to pause the legal proceedings. While specific details regarding the accuser’s allegations have not yet been made public, the legal team re-emphasized that Jacobs strongly denied all accusations.
We encourage everyone to keep an open mind while the matter is fully reviewed. We remain confident that, once all of the evidence is gathered and evaluated, it will confirm that no charges should be brought against Josh.
