Roman Reigns was joined by the 2026 NBA Finals MVP Jalen Brunson this Saturday night for an acknowledgment ceremony in the world’s most famous arena. Once both of them got into the ring with a near 15,000-strong MSG on its feet, Reigns talked about the Knicks ending a 53-year-long drought with their title-winning performance last month.
‘The OTC’ said that Brunson would deem it a team sport, but Reigns put ‘Captain Clutch’ over in a big way and hailed him as the ‘King of New York’.
Reigns talked about every champion in WWE needing a title, so he brought one for Brunson as well. ‘The Tribal Chief’ presented a custom World Heavyweight Title outlined with the Knicks’ colors to JB.
Reigns affirmed that Brunson earned it, and he proceeded to seek an acknowledgment for them from a yielding MSG house. As they put their ones up to the sky, Seth Rollins‘ music hit. However, out came Tyrese Haliburton sporting a Rollins tee.
Wait a minute! 😱

With a distraction from TYRESE HALIBURTON, SETH ROLLINS has just attacked ROMAN REIGNS! 🤯 pic.twitter.com/VRpjbO2cau
The Indiana Pacers point guard had brought a steel chair with him, and Brunson couldn’t have been more annoyed. As Haliburton slowly walked down that aisle, Rollins ambushed a distracted Reigns from behind and started unloading on him.
‘The Visionary’ asked for the chair, and Haliburton acted right on cue. The destroyer of the Shield warned Brunson to stay out of his business as he sat Reigns up for a stomp on the steel chair.

‘The Revolutionary’ had lined Reigns up, but Brunson came in the way and prevented ‘The OTC’ from getting annihilated further. Rollins then got into Brunson’s face, and the two talked some smack, with the Knicks skipper audibly saying, “You’re in my house.”
It allowed Roman Reigns to drop his arch nemesis with a Superman Punch and follow it up with a spear. ‘The Architect’ couldn’t help but retreat with Tyrese Haliburton checking on him.
Acknowledge GREATNESS. ☝️ ☝️

They walked away, and it was finally time for ‘The OTC’ and ‘The King of New York’ to celebrate. Reigns let Brunson hold up his world title, and in exchange, the Bloodline leader got to lift the NBA trophy. They basked in the adulation of the crowd to bring an end to a night that could largely be described as nothing more than a Knicks love fest stuffed into Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Roman Reigns talks about his current bond with the WWE locker room
Before pulling up to Saturday Night’s Main Event at The Garden, Roman Reigns was at the Fanatics Fest. He partook in a live edition of Shannon Sharpe‘s Nightcap podcast where he was asked if there was anyone in WWE whom he personally didn’t like.
It triggered the fans there to start serenading Seth Rollins‘ theme song, and Reigns joked it was a quick way to make him leave the place. ‘The Head of the Table’ stated that he’s in a totally different world from where he was years ago.

Back then, he used to be more involved with the rest of the locker room, but his transition to being the tribal chief didn’t happen without him having to pick sides between staying with the boys and giving it up to scale the mountaintop in WWE.
Roman Reigns thought it was pretty evident that he doesn’t really have many friends back there in the WWE locker room anymore. He did give a shoutout to his family members, though.
Roman Reigns was asked who he doesn’t like in the WWE locker room:

“if you’re a fan you can figure it out”
“I don’t have much friends just family”
“Everyone asks when the Bloodline story will end, never it will go on till i’m here” pic.twitter.com/yEQHpTxNKc
And to answer everyone’s query regarding the course of the ever-ending Bloodline story, Reigns doubled down on it by adding it’ll not end as long as he’s there.
The Pensacola-born wrestler said he’s not operating to make friends, and his focus is on selling out arenas for the company. As far as his current relationship with the locker room is concerned, he said it’s cordial, but he’s not trying to hang out with any of them.
