In Short
  • Stefon Diggs hosted a Mother’s Day wellness event called “A Moment for Mom” in Maryland.
  • Cardi B made a surprise appearance at the event, despite their recent breakup.
  • Diggs is currently a free agent and has been linked to potential teams, including the New England Patriots and Kansas City Chiefs.

Mother’s Day brought Stefon Diggs and Cardi B closer. The NFL free agent wide receiver returned to his hometown of Maryland to host “A Moment for Mom,” a curated Mother’s Day wellness experience designed to honor and uplift mothers across the community.

From 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., the Diggs Foundation transformed the premises of Hotel Zena into a paradise for mothers from around the DMV area, including teachers from the local Duke Ellington School of the Arts. Stephenie Diggs, mother of the Pro Bowl wide receiver, and all the other participants spent quality time doing yoga and other wellness activities.

Diggs’ younger brother and former Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs attended the event. However, that’s expected. What hardly anyone could have guessed was that Cardi B. would be present. It has only been four months since the rapper publicly ended her relationship with Diggs.

Cardi caught Diggs two-timing with her on the day of the Super Bowl with a different woman. She walked away from the relationship after having a baby with him.

That said, the “I Like It” singer warned her followers that she won’t tolerate any slander aimed at her ex. And now, she attended an event whose star is Diggs’ mother. Sure, it does not imply that the former power couple is back together, but it definitely leaves her fans something to gush about.

Kelsey Nicole Nelsen, who covered the Mother’s Day event, asked Diggs to explain the inspiration behind the entire arrangement.

I wanted to have a moment for mothers along with my mom, you know, sharing that rejoice, like a full circle moment to have a moment of decompression and, you know, wellness, healing, taking care of their face, taking care of their body, getting them massaged. Just women don’t get a lot of breaks, especially the ones, single mothers, women doing it on their own.

Stefon Diggs drops a hint about his league future

Diggs is among the top free agents still available for teams to pick up. He’s heavily linked with rejoining the New England Patriots after capping off a near-perfect year in 2025.

The Patriots entrusted Diggs with a three-year, $63.5 million contract, even though he had missed a chunk of the previous season due to an ACL tear. Diggs performed like the seasoned veteran that he is. In 17 games, Diggs caught 85 passes for 1013 yards and scored 4 touchdowns.

It wasn’t enough for him to save his job. His colorful life outside of the gridiron caught up to him, and the Patriots did not want a distraction. He is back on the free agency market and did not rule out linking up with Jayden Daniels in Washington.

I am familiar with the city and I am familiar with the people so, we gonna see, probably pipe over this in the next couple of months, what looks good, what makes sense. I definitely wanna shed some light on them… And might go check them out for a little bit… It’s love, it’s hometown, it makes sense.

AFC West franchise linked with Stefon Diggs

Diggs has over 11,000 yards and 74 touchdowns since entering the league as a fifth-round pick eleven years ago. A receiver of his pedigree rarely stays without a job for too long.

Recently, Chiefs Talk, a fan account of the Kansas City Chiefs, uploaded a photo of Diggs in the club’s colors. Shortly after, Diggs liked the photo.

The Chiefs have a track record of signing veteran receivers to bolster their roster. In 2023, the Chiefs signed Mecole Hardman Jr. and the following year brought in DeAndre Hopkins. On both occasions, the AFC West franchise played in the Super Bowl. So, Diggs could be the missing piece KC needs to return to the promised land.
