Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, and Roger Federer

Boris Becker, since the beginning of his tennis career, was very successful as he won the first six of his Grand Slam singles titles till the age of 17. He finished with 49 singles titles to his name and 15 doubles titles.

His highest ranking in singles was World No.1 (World No.6 in doubles). In 1989, he was voted the Player of the Year by both the ATP and the ITF. He is the first male player to appear in 7 Wimbledon finals, tied with Pete Sampras and Novak Djokovic, behind Roger Federer.

“Numbers just don’t lie. As a tennis player, the number of weeks at No 1 is very important. Novak is simply way ahead there. If all three of them stopped playing tennis today, I would see Novak at No 1. While the trio are locked in a three-way tie for the most Grand Slam titles, Djokovic looks the most likely to finish with the record,” said Boris.

According to him the record of winning 20 Grand Slam titles which the Big 3 have made is pretty huge and no other trio of tennis players would be able to achieve it.

“The fact that three players have won 20 Grand Slams each is unbelievable and will never be equalled again. They have played against each other for the last 15 years. They didn’t win more Grand Slams because the other one won them.” he added.

Djokovic will definitely play atleast 2-3 seasons more than Rafa and Roger and given the level at which he’s playing, he coul realistically win a handful of more slams. And who know, he could also break Margaret Court’s record of 24 majors.
